Our CEO Hillary Spreizer contributed to an article at Twin Cities Business Journal. Three business leaders contributed to the article. Here is what Hillary shared:

For Hillary Spreizer, CEO and Owner of The Latitude Group, responsible AI adoption is as much about emotional intelligence as it is about operational efficiency. Spreizer knows that fear left unaddressed can quietly derail productivity long before any technology does.

“If the fear is AI taking someone’s job, it’s critical to get ahead of that narrative through a thoughtful integration,” Spreizer says. “The alternative is that fear festers and teams don’t work efficiently because they’re scared.”

Rather than imposing AI tools from the top down, Spreizer intentionally brought employees into the decision-making process. Her team was asked to experiment with AI tools themselves, demonstrate how they worked and recommend what actually made sense for their roles.

“Our team uses AI tools to speed up how they work,” she says. “We asked them to demo tools and come back with what made sense, so our people were part of the process.”

That inclusion created buy-in and reduced anxiety, but Spreizer didn’t stop there. She paired AI adoption with ongoing conversations about capacity, growth and opportunity — reinforcing that efficiency gains were meant to create space for more meaningful work, not fewer people.

“We couple that with constant conversations around capacity and the space to do new things that have come out of using these tools,” Spreizer says. “This style of integration has led to our team embracing AI and automation without the fear of it replacing someone.”
